Torsion Springs
At Jackson Spring Mfg. Co. Inc., we manufacture premium quality custom torsion springs according to our IATF 16949:2016 & ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. Torsion springs are used to transmit a rotational force, or torque, or to store rotational energy in a static system. We produce torsion springs on CNC coiling equipment using tempered, hard drawn, or annealed wire between 0.010” and 0.192” in diameter. We have an in-house grinding department that adds to our manufacturing flexibility. Numerous configurations such as axial, tangential, and radial legs with any custom shaped ends can be manufactured, according to customer prints.
We work with ASTM and SAE grade carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and copper materials to ensure customers receive consistent, reliable parts that meet all applicable quality standards. Vision systems and load testing cells are used to verify dimensions and performance of springs according to customer specifications. For high volume production, many processes can be automated, allowing for lights out manufacturing. This can drastically reduce per piece costs and lead times for long production runs. Typical lead times average 3 to 4 weeks, with expedited production and JIT delivery services available on request.
